Abstract: Images and stories broadcast daily on various media outlets confirm that the migrant caravan from Central America presents a number of challenges to international leaders and ordinary citizens. How are we to make sense of this migrant caravan? And what implications does this wave of migration have for policy-makers in Mexico and the United States?  This presentation – which incorporates a number of sources – will analyze the migrant caravan in comparative and historical perspective.
