Introduction to Truth, Racial Healing, & Transformation (TRHT) in Spartanburg and at Wofford, via Zoom
(Other)
|
Description: |
Wofford joined the national Truth, Racial Healing, & Transformation (TRHT) movement in late 2019. Dr. Gail Christopher, whose life’s work has been developing the TRHT framework and movement, was the keynote speaker at the City of Spartanburg’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebration in 2020. While she was in town, Dr. Christopher met with community partners, and Wofford and other Spartanburg higher education professionals. Then, the pandemic hit, George Floyd was murdered, and our nation was plunged into an economic crisis; all of which underscored how much more work we have to do. So, we all started re-imagining the work of TRHT for a new era. Join us on Zoom to learn about TRHT in Spartanburg and at Wofford, including how you can get involved.
